Join us as a Senior Weapons Integration Engineer at our Boscombe Down site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hazard-based evaluation and testing of the integration of OME on a wide variety of aircraft platforms.
- Ensure equipment and systems are safe for flight as well as fit for purpose.
- Perform evaluations on Transport, Combat, Helicopter and Unmanned Aircraft platforms.
- Undertake a range of evaluations encompassing single equipment or role-related changes to a platform.
- Provide assessments of newly introduced aircraft and deliver technical hazard and risk-based reporting.
Essential experience
- Skills, knowledge and experience of Aerospace Weapons Integration.
- Significant on-the-job experience working in the Aerospace Engineering domain.
- Experience of OME and tactical employment of Air Weapons.
- Knowledge of complex electronic hardware, communications, displays, controls and mission systems, sensor and warning systems.
- Knowledge of OME Certification and Qualification.
- Knowledge of military or civil aircraft.
Essential qualifications
- Aerospace or Electronic Engineer (ONC, HNC or HND), nationally recognised (EngTech/Ing) or working towards that accreditation.
- Chartered Engineer (desirable).

Role specifics and site
This role is 37 hours per week based at Boscombe Down with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. We can accommodate candidates working from our other UK hubs including Bristol, Salisbury, Waddington and Warton.
Boscombe Down MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site focusing on testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems with extensive flight-testing capabilities.
