As an OME Shift Operations & Band Saw Supervisor at our Shoeburyness site, you will oversee the safe and efficient processing of ordnance and munitions, supervise operations within the Static Detonation Chamber, and manage band saw operations used for munitions preparation.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise handling, processing, and disposal of ordnance and explosives
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during munitions handling and processing
- Oversee band saw operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain safety standards, proper PPE usage, and regulatory compliance
- Lead, mentor, and train team members
- Keep accurate records of activities, safety compliance, and system performance
Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership and team management skills
- Experience in ordnance handling, explosives disposal, or hazardous waste treatment
- Familiarity with band saws, cutting equipment, and industrial machinery
- Supervisory experience in military, industrial, or hazardous environments
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
Educational Requirements
- HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Ordnance Management, or related field, or relevant technical experience
