Join us as a Plumber working as part of the Facilities Engineering team at our Portsmouth site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.
The Role: As a Facilities Engineer, you will play an important role for our South Coast sites (Portsmouth, Gosport, Funtington and Winfrith) ensuring the facilities, plant and equipment is fully operational to ensure we can continue to deliver important work in support of the UK’s national interest.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance across all aspects of building services undertaking pre-preventive maintenance, repair, and reactive tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide maintenance support (including planned, preventive & corrective maintenance) in relation to site services, plant / equipment & buildings
- Deliver specialist maintenance support & services in relation to building plant / equipment
- Breakdown complex tasks and then execute the planned schedule of work
- Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs
- Form part of the on call rota within the Maintenance Team
Essential experience of the Plumber: Strong knowledge of building systems across all disciplines with a key competency in plumbing, HVAC or gas maintenance.

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Portsmouth site. Shift patterns for this role are 07:30 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday and 07:30 – 12:00 on Fridays. There is a 1 week in 5 On Call rota for this position and ample overtime opportunities.
