The Role

As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of essential electrical systems across multiple sites. Day‑to‑day, you’ll deliver planned, preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of electrical plant and equipment, provide specialist technical support, ensure maintenance standards are met, and contribute to the smooth running of facilities across the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing maintenance support across site services, electrical plant, equipment and buildings
  • Delivering specialist technical maintenance on electrical systems including building wiring
  • Prioritising workloads to meet business needs
  • Ensuring robust application of health, safety and environmental processes
  • Participating in the on‑call rota within the Maintenance Team
  • Monitoring contractor activity and performance

Essential experience of the Mobile Electrical Engineer:

  • Experience delivering maintenance on electrical equipment or systems
  • Ability to operate across multiple sites and manage varied workloads
  • Strong understanding of electrical regulations, standards and technical requirements
  • Experience working both independently and within a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and make sound decisions

Essential qualifications for the Mobile Electrical Engineer:

  • Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Maintenance
  • Understanding of the latest edition of IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Full clean driving licence
  • AP/LV (Authorised Person – Low Voltage), JSP (Joint Service Publications) or CompEx (Competency in Explosive Atmospheres) qualifications/experience preferred; however, full training and funding will be provided for candidates who do not currently hold these

This role is full‑time, permanent, and based across multiple sites throughout Scotland and the North West of England. So we can be flexible on base location as long as you are happy to travel. Company Van provided!
