Join us as a Senior Project Manager at our Farnborough site, where you will work with advanced technology alongside some of the most brilliant minds.
The Role: As a Senior Project Manager, you will contribute to the successful delivery of a High Value Weapons Safety and Suitability for Service (S3) Test and Evaluation Portfolio. This role is specific to ETC within Shoeburyness. The S3 Portfolio is responsible for delivering S3 assessment activity related to high hazard weapons munitions and energetics via live testing and providing assurance-based evidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Delivery of project outputs to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash, and sales).
- Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for sales and delivery.
- Application of governance requirements for foundation sales and delivery work.
- Bid activity and opportunity development.
- Reporting progress on all accountabilities to programme/portfolio manager (or their delegate).
Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager:
- Experience of leading business projects, programmes, portfolios, or P3 function and successfully delivering complex projects.
- Leadership: ability to influence and align others towards the vision for the project.
- Communication: effective two-way interaction using a range of techniques.
- Stakeholder Management: identify, plan, and implement actions to engage parties with an interest in the project outputs.
- Negotiation & Conflict Management: address differences of objective, attitude, or perception to produce an agreed outcome.
- Business Development: work as a member of a capture team to generate delivery plans, risk registers, and costings.
Essential qualifications for the Senior Project Manager:
- Demonstrable capability to APM or equivalent.
This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Hybrid working patterns are available. At our Farnborough site, exciting work takes place at our state-of-the-art facility with high-energy laser technologies and unique simulation capabilities.
