Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the Group is appropriately prepared and set‑up to be compliant with new accounting standards.
- Investigating and facilitating solutions to potentially complex accounting issues that arise both at a Group level and within the business.
- Liaising with business finance staff to provide technical advice and support (e.g. how to account for the Group’s long‑term contracts).
- Providing financial and accounting support to other Group functions including treasury, tax, business strategy, and investor relations on an ad‑hoc basis.
- Monitoring changes in the Financial Reporting environment, producing assessments of the impact on QinetiQ of new accounting standards.
Essential Experience:
- Detailed experience of statutory financial reporting for listed companies and non‑listed subsidiaries.
- Strong technical accounting skills with detailed and comprehensive knowledge of IFRS.

- Must hold a relevant accounting qualification (for example ACA/ACCA).

This role is 37 hours per week, based at our Farnborough site, and is a hybrid-based role with an average expectation of 3 days per week onsite.
