About the Role
As a Resource Manager at our Shoeburyness site, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects and trials by coordinating the effective use of people, facilities, and equipment across a complex engineering and testing environment. By balancing competing priorities and providing clear visibility of resource availability, you’ll help maximise operational efficiency and support business performance.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and maintaining workforce, facility, and equipment schedules to support project and trial delivery
- Managing competing resource demands and resolving scheduling conflicts across operational and engineering teams
- Collaborating with Project Managers, Facility Managers and stakeholders to align resource availability with business priorities
- Monitoring resource availability, maintenance activities and workforce capacity to minimise delivery disruption
- Producing utilisation, capacity, and planning reports to support operational decision‑making
- Driving continuous improvement of resource planning processes, tools, and ways of working
Qualifications
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels of the organisation
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and resolve resource conflicts in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex schedules
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
