You will join the Radar and Electronic Warfare (EW) team which has unrivalled expertise in the UK, built over 80 years. We have exciting roles to offer in a wide range of technology areas, from sensor design and running of demonstrator systems, through algorithm research and development, including novel signal processing and machine learning/deep learning techniques, to customer support activity. You will have the opportunity to specialise in either Radar or EW, or to work flexibly across both areas.
These activities enable our customers to exploit new technologies, improve sensor and system performance and provide specialist advice to assist in the procurement and testing of new Radar and EW capabilities. They will allow you to build skills and experience across the Radar and EW fields.
Key AccountabilitiesThe primary scope of the role is focused on supporting delivery to our customers. We have a variety of live customer projects giving a choice of tasks, all requiring technical solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
- Apply your scientific/engineering/technical expertise and knowledge on a variety of assignments requiring the integration of a range of skills and knowledge.
- Undertake scientific research with a chance to attend international conferences and present papers.
- Develop solutions using your coding skills in Matlab and/or Python.
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring successful delivery and helping identify new business.
- Follow an internal development scheme that will support progression to chartered status with an appropriate professional body.
- Promote innovation, inventiveness and standards of excellence within the delivery and/or capture teams.
- Strong Physics and Maths
- Passion for scientific research
- Obtaining a degree in Physics or Maths
- Other STEM subjects covering RF Engineering and/or Signal Processing
