The Role
As an IT Engineer, you will join a strong team of engineers providing expertise and providing IT supporting the delivery of projects and delivering IT solutions to our customers. Day-to-day, you'll engage with customers and stakeholders in supporting the delivery of projects and leading the delivery of complex technical tasks, as directed by the Technical lead.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering Hardware/Software builds and Systems Installation and Integration
- Proposals for CIDA
- Technically leading small projects or certain parts of larger projects to deliver solutions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
- Delivering outputs and providing pragmatic solutions which may include Technical presentations, Technical documentation, Test plans and reports, user guides and work instructions and Design or process documents
- Providing mentoring support to junior colleagues
- Undertaking tasks of increasing complexity through the derivation of solutions using existing practices
Essential experience and qualifications
- Previous experience of working in an IT engineering role
- The ability to work with a broad and comprehensive range of concepts and principles within the areas of IT
- Broad experience of Windows Client/Server Infrastructure, Networking, Virtualisation (Hyper-V) and Linux
- A first degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent on the job experience
