Role Overview

As an OME Supervisor, you will be an integral member of the Defence and Safety function, providing leadership and oversight in the Maritime & Land Business. You will manage staff development, stocktaking, health & safety training, hazardous materials handling, and disposal operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all Hazardous Activities within your control are conducted in accordance with internal and external legislation.
  • Conduct munitions disposal tasks when required, in accordance with the relevant process instruction.
  • Provide leadership, ensure the availability of competent staff and apply the appropriate level of supervision to all tasks.
  • Maintain QinetiQ Munitions Accounting System (QMAS) proficiency, providing cover when required.

Essential Experience

  • Relevant Ordnance Munitions and Explosives experience (ESA NOS).
  • Leadership and managerial skills essential.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science, such as Physics.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
  • Knowledge of ER14/DSA 03 and safe systems of work.

Working Hours / Travel

37 hours per week, full‑time onsite position with expected travel across several Hebrides based facilities.
