The Role

As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of essential electrical systems across multiple sites. Day-to-day, you’ll deliver planned, preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of electrical plant and equipment, provide specialist technical support, ensure maintenance standards are met, and contribute to the smooth running of facilities across the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing maintenance support across site services, electrical plant, equipment and buildings
  • Delivering specialist technical maintenance on electrical systems including building wiring
  • Prioritising workloads to meet business needs
  • Ensuring robust application of health, safety and environmental processes
  • Participating in the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team
  • Monitoring contractor activity and performance

Essential experience of the Mobile Electrical Engineer:

  • Experience delivering maintenance on electrical equipment or systems
  • Ability to operate across multiple sites and manage varied workloads
  • Strong understanding of electrical regulations, standards and technical requirements
  • Experience working both independently and within a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and make sound decisions

Essential qualifications for the Mobile Electrical Engineer:

  • Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Maintenance
  • Understanding of the latest edition of IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Full clean driving licence
  • AP/LV (Authorised Person – Low Voltage), JSP (Joint Service Publications) or CompEx (Competency in Explosive Atmospheres) qualifications/experience preferred; however, full training and funding will be provided for candidates who do not currently hold these

This role is full-time, permanent, and based across multiple sites throughout Scotland and the North West of England. So we can be flexible on base location as long as you are happy to travel.
