Role Purpose
Learning and developing knowledge and experience in Project Controls. Supporting the Project Control teams with all project control activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Estimating – exposure to different types of estimating, different approaches to estimating and when to apply each type.
- Planning & Scheduling – exposure to project planning and scheduling, including resourcing and baselining, and support in creating plans and schedules, interrogating schedules to identify potential risks and issues.
- Cost planning and control – exposure to managing actual and forecast costs against budget, evaluating cost variance, highlighting areas of underperformance and suggesting recovery actions.
- Analysis and reporting – exposure to analysing and reporting data to develop a complete and accurate picture that informs decisions regarding project management, quality and control.
- Performance management – exposure to governance requirements and processes documented in the Business Management System and Project Management Knowledge Network.
- Risk management – supporting Project Controllers in risk management responsibilities.
- Stakeholder engagement – developing knowledge and experience in fostering a collaborative approach with all stakeholders.
- Supporting Project Controllers in all elements of project controls for non‑complex, limited complexity projects – LCM 1.
- Commitment to undertaking a Project Controls apprenticeship, dedicating 20% of job time to study and learning.

Experience and Qualifications

5 GCSEs A*‑C, 4‑9. Must include Mathematics, English and any other STEM subject (UK only).
