Due to the expansion of the Technical Services and Air and Space Division within Inzpire, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from exceptional individuals with a Combat Air Specialism. Roles support MOD projects and programmes, providing tactical/operational advice, delivering White Force and exercise control, and undertaking project management responsibilities across 4th, 5th and 6th generation programmes. This work may also include supporting Defence Industry partners delivering these programmes on behalf of the MOD and other UK Government Departments.

Suitable applicants must be Combat Air specialists with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • 4th/5th Generation tactics and employment
  • Relevant operational experience with 4th/5th Gen CA platforms
  • Developing and contributing to UK Combat Air Strategy
  • Collective Training experience

  • NATO or US exchange experience
  • Experience in multi-national capability programmes (e.g., Typh NETMA, US F-35, GCAP)

Vacancies begin Summer 2026 with longer-term opportunities in the 6–18 month timeframe. Please indicate availability when contacting us.

We are looking for exceptional, professionally credible, operationally experienced Combat Air Specialists. The successful candidates will have recent operational experience and extensive CA platform experience and/or an excellent instructional pedigree. A QWI qualification, or equivalent, is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be able to draw on extensive experience and possess in-depth knowledge of areas that enable, deliver and support CA effectiveness.

You will engage in customer-facing roles including consultancy, advisory and mentoring activities, and provide direct support in the delivery of specific contracted outputs and programmed exercises. Ability to deliver assurance and evaluation through exercise delivery or project delivery is required.

You must be capable of critical and analytical thinking with a proven record of briefing to senior stakeholders and presenting complex subjects to mixed audiences. You will work with other Inzpire personnel and customer staff and should have strong interpersonal and communications skills, integrity and resilience, plus the enthusiasm to deliver against the contract.

We recognise that a talented, diverse workforce is pivotal to our success, and we recruit high-calibre individuals who share our vision and values. We expect candidates to be willing to embrace the Inzpire work ethic of loyalty, flexibility and consistently delivering above and beyond customer expectations.

We note that due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to complete National Security Vetting, which may involve criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.

If you have the required background and are interested in joining a high-performing team delivering exceptional products and services, please apply and upload your CV. Note that you will be directed to the QinetiQ careers site to complete your application.
