The Service Architect is an internal customer embedded role, with a top client to design the service wrapper and to provide service support and management for customer solutions and managed service propositions into customers and key markets. This role is client focused, to define service architectures for specific managed service offerings and deliveries.
The purpose of this role is to work with our customer in-house to design and deliver service integration, support and management models to meet the customer requirements and service or solution deliverables, following the principles and processes within the Service Design and Transition (SD&T) Framework. Such models should be aligned with QinetiQ’s strategic objectives and reflect present operating capabilities whilst also developing future capabilities and models. The role will also contribute to the effective transition of services and solutions into the live environment, and to the operation and continuous improvement of the SD&T Framework.
Your responsibilities:
- Working with customer internally to define and design of the service wrapper for new services and customer solutions
- Working as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), provide Service Design & Transition (SD&T) input to bid responses and proposals, including the identification and derivation of customer and business requirements and the definition of appropriate support models, with associated costs.
- Leading on the transition of services and solutions into live service as required ensuring Service Operations is ready to support the service
- Engaging with and influencing business stakeholders to ensure the value and benefits of the SD&T Framework and processes are recognised and understood
Essential experience:
- Experience in Service Design, Transition and Service Architecture within large, complex organisations
- Experience in converting customer business needs to solutions involving business Service Design and Portfolio Management
- Experience of working with a diverse range of products and complex services
Essential qualifications:
- ITIL V3/ITIL4 accredited
