The Role
As a Graduate AASW Systems Engineer you will deliver a range of service across a broad spectrum of science and engineering disciplines including research and development, independent and technical specialist advice and independent test and evaluation to clients in QinetiQ’s Airborne Anti‑Submarine Warfare team. Day‑to‑day, you will work with a team that works closely with its customers to design and implement advanced solutions that address real‑world challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Problem solving and the application of science underpinned by a tailored life‑cycle approach e.g. Systems/Software Engineering lifecycle
- The use of rapid‑prototyping techniques to inform system design decisions
- Being a self‑motivated team member and taking ownership of tasking whilst operating collaboratively within a dynamic team
- Supporting the delivery of acoustic systems requiring sensor simulation and aircraft simulation with high‑fidelity test signals
- Being hands‑on with a dynamic team delivering mission winning innovation
Essential experience of the Graduate AASW Systems Engineer:
- Proven ability to be enthusiastic, self‑motivated and adaptive
- The ability to be pro‑active with a desire to learn broadening and sharing knowledge within this exciting domain
- Proven experience working towards higher professional qualification
Essential qualifications for Graduate AASW Systems Engineer:
- A degree in Physics, Maths, Oceanography, Electronics or a relevant engineering discipline

This role is 37 hours per week on‑site based at our Farnborough site. This role is fully on‑site.
