The Role
As a Senior Software License Specialist, you will join our Enterprise Services team, providing support and subject matter expertise to the Lifecycle Support Team within Service Operations and across Service Lines delivering planned or requested activities which will depend on the requirements of the individual task to effectively deliver high quality services to our customers.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide support / assist groups within and outside of Service Operations with license purchasing, adhering to license policy and procedures in conjunction with Procurement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor the performance and integrity and lifecycle of Software including version control throughout the company
- Provide subject matter expertise for the lifecycle management of software for project and BAU delivery
- Provide support to the wider business for relevant licences, and act as 3rd party Tier 4 escalation point of contact for incidents and changes
- Support the development of reporting, system training material and documentation of software licencing globally
- Own and maintain relevant software configuration documentation, including tracking of changes through test and production environments, and ensure it is locatable and accessible
- Consult with business stakeholders and other software specialists to configure and maintain relevant systems maintaining an awareness of new technology releases, upgrades / maintenance
Essential experience of the Senior Software License Specialist:
- Extensive experience in delivering complex software licensing positions for one or more significant vendors i.e. evidence of implementation or improvement of license processes and tools, or knowledge of vendor's license models, or contract analysis and implications
- Proven track record of working with internal and external teams on deployment and development of new systems, solutions and functionality
- Experience working with internal and external teams on deployment of new systems and functionality
- Ability to engage with a cross-section of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
- Awareness and understanding of IT & Corporate systems and solutions, current trends and emerging technologies
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications and product user rights
Essential qualifications for the Senior Software License Specialist:
- A Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant technical experience
This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Hybrid working patterns are available.
