The Project Manager will be part of the Maritime division of QinetiQ, based at the Farnborough or Portsmouth facilities. You will serve as an integral member of a dynamic PMO function, fully responsible and accountable for understanding and delivering the programme vision, objectives, and benefits.

Day-to-day, the projects within this role include:

  • Delivering a critical hardware subsystem within the BUTEC ranging capability to address obsolescence.
  • Delivery of the hardware solution for a replacement acoustic sensing and processing solution (ASPSR) to ensure next level acoustic analysis for the MoD customer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of a high value (c £2.5m) project.
  • Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work.
  • Reporting progress on all accountabilities to senior programme/portfolio manager.

Essential experience:

  • Typically 2-3 years in a Project Management position.
  • Ideally from the Defence, Aerospace, or Marine industries.

Essential qualifications:

  • Degree educated.
  • APM, PPQ, or Prince2 qualified.

Location & working hours:

This role is 37 hours per week based at either our Farnborough or Portsmouth facilities with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
