We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative team at Inzpire LTD. Leveraging your deep expertise in hardware, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams for fault resolution and to support product design, ensuring that solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability and security. As a Level 4 Infrastructure Engineer you will be working as part of a small multi‑skilled engineering team supporting the delivery of a secure mission critical Communication Information System. You will be based onsite at RAF Leeming Mon‑Fri 8‑5 as well as providing out of hours support as part of an on‑call rota.

THE PERSON

• Expertise in physical server hardware architecture (HPE ProLiant / Dell PowerEdge)
• Expertise in network storage solutions – SAN / NAS.
• Strong experience in physical network hardware architecture (Cisco).
• Strong experience of virtualised environments including installation, configuration, and management (VMware, Hyper‑V etc).
• Strong experience of Microsoft environments (365, ADUC, GPO, Certificate Services).
• Expertise in Windows Server 2019 onwards.
• Installing and configuring backup solutions (Veeam etc).
• Network understanding (Basic routing, subnetting, VLANs, Firewalls).
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to share knowledge and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends and technologies.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex issues in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Highly Desirable

• Significant experience as a 3rd line IT infrastructure engineer actively supporting the technologies listed above.
• Experience supporting data centre environments.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience applying ITIL processes and service management principles.

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
