The Role

As an Estates Programme Manager you will lead and deliver specialist construction, civil engineering and estate management programmes across the LTPA and QinetiQ freehold estate.

Day-to-day, you will hold responsibility for the full Programme Management lifecycle from planning through to execution and handover on a variety of projects. These will vary from general building refurbishments through to more technical requirements and even new build construction.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading and delivering a defined programme of major construction projects
  • Setting, reviewing and maintaining programme objectives, priorities, risks and scope and success measures
  • Planning and managing programme activities, milestone and progress throughout its lifecycle
  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement and maintain clear, effective communications
  • Ensuring efficient communication and coordination between the programme, internal teams and external advisors

Essential experience

  • Significant experience in a construction project or program management environment, with a proven track record of leading complex projects from inception to completion
  • Experience of construction contracts (NEC) and construction procurement methods
  • Extensive experience of the Construction, Design Management (CDM) Regulations and must have acted as client or similar role on a construction related project
  • Experience using business cases to support decision making and secure programme investment

Essential qualifications

  • Demonstrable capability to APM PMQ or equivalent
  • Chartered status is desirable

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough or MOD Boscombe Down site. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites is expected.
