As a Senior Project Manager in our UK Defence business you will be involved in a wide variety of exciting projects and programmes delivering pioneering defence innovation and capability for industry and government. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for leading multiple complex projects from initial business or customer engagement through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. You will provide effective project leadership, while managing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure commitments are met and risks are effectively managed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of high value (Β£5m+ per annum) complex projects ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Lead cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior project managers and team members
- Manage project financial and resource demand forecasts
Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager:
- Proven track record in delivering complex technical projects, dealing with timescales, uncertainty and risk.
- Experience delivering multiple projects for multiple customers simultaneously
- Defence, Aerospace or Engineering background preferred.
Essential qualifications for the Senior Project Manager:
- APM PMQ capability
This role is 37 hours per week based at our Boscombe Down site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
