Join us at our Boscombe Down site. In this role you will design, manufacture and support Avionic systems for our growing Uncrewed Air Systems (UAS) capability, serving over 30 countries worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Avionic system design including electrical power generation and distribution
- Flight control systems design and hardware design
- Command and control design
- Avionic system integration of payloads
- Avionic build and manufacture
Essential Experience
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft manufacturing technologies and techniques
- Extensive knowledge of Aviation Design, Manufacturing and Integration Processes
- Working knowledge of MAA and CAA Aviation Regulations
- Robust understanding of their respective engineering discipline
- Providing advice, assurance and best practice for programmes containing a large element of the relevant engineering capability
- Significant experience creating technical drawings from 3D Models
Essential Qualifications
- HNC/HND/Degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial Design or Product Design (or equivalent experience)
- Computer Aided Design β AutoCAD or Solid Works (Desirable)
Location & Working Hours
The position is 37 hours per week based at Boscombe Down with a minimum average of four days per week attendance and flexible working available. Periodic travel to other QinetiQ sites such as Ashford and Farnborough may be required.
