The Role

As Lead UI Designer, you will lead the visual direction and execution of interface design across all of our brands and platforms. This is a high‑impact role combining design excellence with strategy, creative vision with implementation, and team guidance with cross‑functional collaboration.

You’ll manage and evolve our UI systems, inspire the team with high standards of design thinking, and partner closely with UX, product, development, and marketing to ensure user‑centric, conversion‑led outcomes across the business.

Your goal: create interfaces that are not only intuitive and on‑brand, but grounded in data, optimised for performance, and built to scale with the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the end‑to‑end UI design for mobile‑first websites, landing pages, and product interfaces across QiH’s global brand portfolio
  • Set the visual direction and design quality bar for digital experiences, ensuring consistency, usability, and performance across all touchpoints
  • Lead the development and governance of scalable design systems and component libraries
  • Translate business goals, user insights, and product strategy into impactful and polished UI solutions
  • Collaborate with UX, product managers, developers, and marketers to build seamless, high‑converting user journeys
  • Champion accessibility standards, responsive best practices, and performance‑based design
  • Mentor and guide a growing team of designers while fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Define and optimise UI design processes, documentation, and tooling across the team
  • Serve as a senior voice in the creative studio by influencing roadmaps, cross‑functional workflows, and design maturity at scale
  • Stay on top of digital and UI trends, tools, and competitor activity to bring fresh thinking that elevates our experiences

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in UI or digital product design, with a proven track record of leadership and impact
  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellence in visual design across mobile‑first, responsive web, and conversion‑optimised experiences
  • Strong ability to lead design work independently while aligning with broader business objectives
  • Deep expertise in Figma and modern design system development
  • Strong understanding of front‑end principles and comfortable collaborating closely with developers
  • Experience working in agile product teams alongside UX, marketing, and engineering
  • Confident team mentor with a collaborative and humble leadership style
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills
  • A growth mindset with a passion for iteration, experimentation, and data‑informed design
  • Proactive, adaptable attitude and collaborative spirit

Nice to Have

  • Experience in performance marketing, affiliate, iGaming, fintech, or e‑commerce
  • Familiarity with creative automation tools like Bannerflow
  • Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards
  • Experience leading rebrands or large‑scale design transformations
  • Light motion or prototyping skills (e.g., After Effects, Principle)
