Job Description – FABRIC TECHNOLOGIST Our Client is a leading and established supplier to leading high street names. We are recruiting a Fabric Technologist to work alongside their product development and technical teams, advising on fabric standards and procedures, sustainability, compliance, and care labelling. Ensure fabric is quality-managed to meet performance standards and market regulations while maintaining critical path dates Proactively troubleshoot possible production issues regarding fabric characteristics, technical construction, lead times, and colours, and provide solutions or recommendations to mitigate risks in bulk production Manage test reports, implementing corrective actions or solutions where fabric performance falls below expected standards Maintain a database of fabric suppliers, keeping certificates and actioning audits Manage REACH and chemical compliance Ensure customer raw materials policies are followed In-depth knowledge of woven and knitted fabric production and testing processes Understanding of sustainable fabric standards (Textile Exchange, BCI, etc.)
