Our client, a London based investment manager, is hiring a senior data analyst into its newly created data oversight team. The firm is moving from a fragmented legacy environment to a target-state architecture: an enterprise data lakehouse, stronger governance, and new mastering capabilities including a security master and IBOR. The programme follows the DCAM framework - discovery is complete and implementation is beginning.
You will be the bridge between the business and development teams: gathering requirements from front office, performance and risk, turning them into clear documentation and data models, and staying with the work through testing and sign-off.
The role:
- Lead requirements gathering, translating business needs into data requirements and technical specifications
- Develop conceptual and logical data models to underpin the target-state design
- Support the security master and IBOR implementations, from source-to-target mapping through to testing
- Evaluate market data usage across asset classes, consolidating or retiring duplicated datasets
- Map sources front to back, building out lineage and the data catalogue
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience on large-scale data transformation programmes, ideally within a framework such as DCAM
- Investment management experience with a front-to-back grasp of investment data, including IBOR and market data
- Strong requirements gathering and data mapping know-how, including conceptual and logical data modelling
- Hands‑on experience with data mastering platforms; a security master implementation is ideal
- Practical experience of data quality, controls and governance; exposure to lakehouse architectures a plus
- The communication skills to work across technical and business teams
