Job Description
Investment Risk Business Analyst – Investment Management.
A leading global Investment Manager is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep subject matter expertise in Investment Risk and experience working directly with Portfolio Managers and Investment Risk Teams. The successful candidate will bring front office exposure and act as a trusted advisor – partnering with business stakeholders to shape how technology can best support the growth of the businesses. Also, will act as a domain SME in Investment Risk and partnering with business leaders to shape and prioritise initiatives.
This position follows a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office.
Key requirements:
- Must bring strong experiences as a Business Analyst within Asset Management, ideally supporting front office investment risk and/or analytics teams.
- Must have understanding in investment risk concepts (such as: VaR, tracking error, duration risk), performance measurement frameworks, and attribution methodologies (e.g. Brinson, Factor-based) across various asset classes.
- Familiarity with tools such as MSCI Risk Manager, MSCI BarraOne and FactSet
- Understand key operational challenges in Asset Management such as ABOR/IBOR, benchmarks, look-through logic, and instrument modelling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of stakeholder engagement and influencing senior decision-makers.
