Our mission is to identify, design, build, and invest in infrastructure projects across Africa, in collaboration with UK‑based suppliers, designers, financial entities and technology partners. The Company currently holds a robust project backlog and is fully integrated into the UK economy.
We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Procurement Specialist with strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in digital tools to join our Procurement & Logistics team. The role involves market research, sourcing, consolidating information, analyzing data, and procuring goods and services to support QG Construction UK’s projects in emerging countries and continents, such as Africa. You will engage with suppliers of all sizes within the construction sector to identify the most suitable solutions to our project needs. This position offers the opportunity to work in an international environment, contributing to procurement planning and performance monitoring through effective data management and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Process Development — Develop and maintain procurement procedures and documentation at both national and international levels.
- Market Survey – Identify potential qualified suppliers and mapping strategy opportunities.
- RFI/RFQ, Bid Negotiation — Prepare Requests for Information/Quotation (RFI/RFQ’s), analyze bid progress and results, produce comparison reports and generate critical analysis.
- Procurement Control & Reporting — Prepare procurement progress reports and KPI dashboards.
- Contract and Document Management — Track contracts and manage procurement documentation.
- Logistics & Delivery Follow‑up — Monitor deliveries and ensure deadlines are met.
- Supplier Research & Monitoring — Conduct supplier research, assessment, and performance evaluation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering (or related fields).
- CIPS certification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international procurement within the infrastructure sector.
- Team‑oriented, curious, self‑motivated, and proactive.
- Communicative, expansive, prone to continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility to multi-tasking and travelling.
- English: mandatory.
- Portuguese, Spanish, French or Polish: strong advantage.
- Other languages may also be considered and valued, given the international ever-expanding scope of our projects.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Primavera and other Microsoft Office tools.
