The Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager (or an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step up) to take responsibility for a wide range of commercial functions within the business. This role offers a clear progression path to Director level for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly valuations and attend account meetings with main contractors
- Produce accurate cash flow forecasts and chase monthly payments
- Prepare commercial reports for board and monthly meetings
- Price contract variations and review sub-contract orders
- Support operations teams with commercial requirements and training
- Work closely with estimating on bids, clauses, and schedules of rates
- Agree final accounts and oversee audits
- Ensure all commercial records, paperwork, and processes are accurate and up to date
About You
- Experienced as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and account management skills
- Confident in producing forecasts, valuations, and financial reports
- Able to liaise effectively with clients, operations staff, and senior management
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
