Mission

QFEX is building the most delightful retail trading experience that’s ever existed. We need a visionary UI/UX designer to work alongside our product team and take the product from feedback to fruition. This is an incredible opportunity to work alongside an elite, well-funded team of builders from some of the biggest financial companies in the world (Citadel and Tower Research Capital) and change the course of financial history.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and Build QFEX’s Design System & Brand Identity
    Establish a cohesive visual language, component library, and interaction patterns tailored for a high-performance trading platform.
  • Lead End-to-End Design
    Partner closely with frontend engineers to turn wireframes and prototypes into production-ready UI/UX.
  • Institute a Continuous User Research & Feedback Loop
    Design and run usability studies, A/B tests, and in-platform analytics to validate hypotheses and uncover pain points.
  • Establish Scalable Design Processes & Communication Channels
    Set up design tooling (Figma libraries, version control, documentation) and workflows (reviews, QA, accessibility checks).

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years designing high-performance, data-dense applications.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end work: wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes.
  • Experience setting up and synthesizing usability studies, A/B tests, analytics dashboards.
  • Impeccable levels of trust in yourself and others, including the ability to make decisions in minutes, not days.
  • UK work authorisation and willingness to work Monday–Friday from our central London office.

Bonus points

  • Exposure to order-flow, market-data visualization, risk dashboards, or crypto exchanges.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React) to collaborate deeply with engineers.
  • Track record of scaling design function rapidly and iterating under tight deadlines.
