I’m working with a fantastic law firm based in Staines-upon-Thames that’s looking for an experienced Senior Care Solicitor to join their team. If you’ve got a strong background in Child Care law and want to take a step into a leadership role, this could be the perfect opportunity!

This isn’t just about handling your own caseload (although you’ll definitely be doing that too), you’ll also be playing a key role in managing and mentoring the team, overseeing caseloads, and driving the department forward. There’s a real focus on departmental development, client relationship-building, and even shaping strategy at a senior level.

What’s the role all about?

  • Handling a full range of Child Care cases from start to finish, representing a variety of clients, including: Children, guardians, parents, grandparents, and other family members.
  • Supervising junior solicitors and paralegals to ensure they’re on top of their caseloads.
  • Taking on your own advocacy where possible.
  • Sharing your technical expertise and mentoring the team.
  • Playing a big part in growing the department, whether that’s generating new work or strengthening relationships with existing clients.
  • Keeping everything on track with high standards for case management and ensuring compliance with legal aid protocols.
  • Working closely with the leadership team to help shape departmental strategy and meet key performance targets.
