Are you an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking to focus on sophisticated estate planning, trusts and high-net-worth clients while taking the next step in your career?
A highly regarded regional firm is looking to appoint a senior Private Client lawyer to its established team, with the opportunity suitable for either an existing Partner or a Senior Associate approaching Partnership.
The Firm
This is an established West Midlands practice with a strong Private Client offering and recognition from the leading legal directories, including recognition for its Private Client expertise in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide.
The team itself is close-knit and supportive, with excellent longevity amongst its lawyers. This is a stable department rather than one being rebuilt, and the successful person will join experienced colleagues while having the seniority to influence its continued development.
The role can be based in Sutton Coldfield, although the firm has other offices across the West Midlands which could also be considered.
The Role
The position will have a particular emphasis on estate planning and trusts, including:
- Advising high-net-worth individuals and business owners
- Complex estate and succession planning
- Trust creation, administration and restructuring
- Inheritance tax and wealth preservation
- Succession planning involving family and owner-managed businesses
- Developing relationships with accountants, IFAs and other professional advisers
- Contributing to the continued development of the Private Client practice
There is considerable scope to shape the position around your existing expertise and professional relationships.
You
You'll ideally have around 8+ years' PQE and substantial Private Client experience, particularly involving trusts and estate planning.
Full STEP membership would be particularly attractive, alongside experience advising high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
Existing relationships with accountants, IFAs and other professional advisers would be advantageous.
The firm is open to an existing Partner or a Senior Associate with the experience and ambition to move into Partnership either immediately or in the relatively near future.
