Full time or Part time I’m currently working with a leading national law firm looking to hire an experienced Risk Lawyer into a new position within their established Risk & Compliance function.

They're looking for a qualified solicitor who enjoys the more advisory side of law firm risk, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders on regulatory, partnership and governance matters, alongside broader commercial risk work.

A key part of the role will involve supporting the firm on partnership matters, including lateral partner onboarding and retirements, partnership documentation and governance.

The Role?

SRA Standards & Regulations, Principles and Codes of Conduct, alongside wider professional regulatory matters Client engagement terms, Outside Counsel Guidelines, panel terms and framework agreements Supplier agreements and other commercial documentation Firmwide policies, procedures and risk frameworks Strategic and operational risk matters Regulatory queries and engagement with relevant professional bodies About you?

You'll be comfortable advising lawyers, partners and senior stakeholders on regulatory and wider risk matters, with a good understanding of the SRA Standards & Regulations and the practical issues that come with applying them within a law firm.

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3 years’ PQE
  • Previous law firm risk management experience
  • Strong understanding of SRA regulation and professional conduct
  • Experience advising on contractual arrangements within a law firm environment
  • Commercially minded and comfortable working with senior stakeholders
  • Able to manage competing priorities and give practical, solutions-focused advice What's in it for you?
