An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join the highly regarded Private Wealth team of a top tier Legal 500 and Chambers ranked law firm.
\n Recognised nationally for its outstanding legal expertise, the firm has built an enviable reputation across both the commercial and private client sectors.
As part of its continued strategic growth, it is investing heavily in expanding its Private Wealth offering, with a particular focus on High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurial families and business owners.
\n This is far more than a traditional senior fee earning role.
You will become the second most senior lawyer within the department, working closely alongside the Head of Department, who is focused on driving the team's continued growth and profile.
With an established pipeline of high quality work already in place, you will inherit a complex and varied caseload from day one while helping shape the future direction of the practice.
The Opportunity
\n You will advise a broad range of High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals, family business owners and internationally mobile clients on sophisticated private wealth matters, including: \n

- Complex estate and succession planning \n
- Lifetime inheritance tax planning \n
- Cross border estate and tax planning \n
- Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and trust documentation \n
- Creation, restructuring and administration of trusts \n
- Advising family owned businesses on succession planning and governance \n
- Business Property Relief and Capital Gains Tax planning \n
- Tax efficient business succession and transfer of business interests \n
- Working alongside Corporate and Commercial colleagues on business restructures, shareholder arrangements and exit planning \n
- Advising on the interaction between personal wealth, family structures and business assets \n
- Managing complex, high value probate and estate administration matters where required \n
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers \n
- Supporting business development initiatives and helping further establish the firm's presence within the UHNW market \n \n
About You
- \n You will have: \n
- \n \n
- 5+ years' PQE within Private Client \n
- Significant experience advising High Net Worth clients on estate and tax planning \n
- Strong technical expertise in lifetime tax planning and wealth preservation \n
- Experience handling complex cross border and international private wealth matters \n
- Knowledge of Business Property Relief, Capital Gains Tax and succession planning for business owners \n
- The ability to manage complex matters independently \n
- Excellent drafting, communication and client relationship skills \n
- Experience supervising junior colleagues \n
- A commercial mindset with an enthusiasm for helping grow a market leading practice \n \n STEP and/or CTA qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
