High-value construction professional indemnity work. Genuine progression. A specialist team with real momentum. If you are a Senior Associate-level solicitor looking for a role where your expertise will be recognised and your career can accelerate, this opportunity deserves your attention.
QED Legal’s client, a highly regarded specialist Construction and Professional Indemnity practice, is seeking an experienced Professional Indemnity solicitor with 7 years’ PQE to join its growing Glasgow team. This is a standout opportunity to become part of a successful and fast-expanding practice with an established reputation for handling complex and high-profile disputes across the UK insurance market.
The team is widely recognised for its expertise in professional indemnity and acts on behalf of a broad range of insurers in defending significant and technically challenging claims. While the practice advises across the wider professional negligence landscape, this appointment carries a particular focus on construction professional indemnity work, involving claims against architects, engineers, contractors and other construction professionals.
The successful candidate will also be involved in broader professional negligence matters involving solicitors, accountants, surveyors and financial professionals. You will take a leading role in advising insurers and professional clients on case strategy, claims handling, reserves and insurance coverage issues, managing matters from initial policy response through to resolution.
The work regularly involves high-value and complex litigation, requiring clear and commercially focused advice, strong technical ability and the confidence to manage insurer and insured relationships while remaining alert to potential conflicts and commercial sensitivities.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of dispute resolution processes, including litigation, mediation, negotiation and adjudication, with responsibility for preparing matters at all court levels and delivering detailed reporting to insurer clients.
Alongside managing your own caseload, you will play an active part in supervising and supporting junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth and development of the wider team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional indemnity lawyer seeking more than simply another move.
The firm is investing heavily in its Scottish offering and offers access to high-quality work, a collaborative culture and genuine long-term progression within a specialist practice with an expanding international footprint.
