Job Description

\\nSenior Private Client Solicitor – Partnership Opportunity | Legal 500 Leading Firm
\\n
\\nI’m working exclusively with a nationally respected UK law firm that’s looking to appoint a senior private client lawyer into its Watford office. This is a standout opportunity to step into Partnership – or finally secure it – within a Legal 500-recognised team that combines strong leadership with genuine autonomy.
\\n
\\nThe firm is a Top 100 full-service practice with a strong reputation for private client work across all of it's locations. Every regional team, including Watford, is ranked in the Legal 500 – a reflection of consistent quality, depth of expertise, and a culture that supports collaboration across locations. You’ll be joining a well-established Estates, Tax and Trusts team, with the chance to lead in Watford and help shape the next phase of its growth.
\\n
\\nThis role is perfect for someone who enjoys working closely with HNW individuals and families, and who is comfortable managing complex matters across estate planning, succession, trusts and tax. Just as important is your ability to build trusted client relationships and to develop new ones. If you enjoy mentoring more junior lawyers and want to influence how a team evolves, you’ll feel right at home here.
\\n
\\nYou’ll be working in a culture that values people as much as technical ability – approachable, down-to-earth, and focused on doing the right thing, not just doing things quickly. It’s a firm where people tend to stay and grow. There’s no glass ceiling here; if you want to progress, you’ll be supported.
\\n
\\nBenefits include a competitive salary (flexible dependant on expereicnce) and discretionary bonus, a clear and achievable route to equity, generous holiday with the option to buy or sell, private medical cover, life assurance, and access to the firm’s bespoke Learning Academy. The team works to a hybrid model, with three or more days per week in the Watford office to build strong local relationships and take advantage of cross-referral opportunities.
\\n
\\nIf you're currently in a large firm and feeling overlooked for Partnership, or at a smaller practice without the platform you need to grow, this could be the opportunity that gives you both the independence and the support to thrive.
