The role involves managing your own fee-earning caseload within the Private Client Department, working independently on wills, probate, and other private client matters. You will attend to clients in the office or at their homes, providing professional, confidential, and high-quality legal advice. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting correspondence, contracts, court documentation, attendance notes, statements of evidence, and other documents required to progress fee-earning matters efficiently.
- Ensuring all cases are managed efficiently and deadlines are met to maximise billable time.
- Time recording in accordance with firm policy and assisting with billing as necessary.
- Liaising with clients, third parties, and other professionals to progress matters effectively.
- Attending department meetings and assisting with reasonable instructions from Directors, Department Heads, or Fee Earners.

You should be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 1 year PQE or significant fee-earning experience, or an experienced Paralegal with independent caseload experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Windows; experience with case management systems (Tikit desirable) is required. You must be confident in managing your own fee-earning work and dealing professionally with clients, including sensitive or difficult situations. Flexibility, team orientation, and the ability to travel between offices and attend off-site appointments are essential. An understanding of Private Client legal procedures and the ability to manage work efficiently and accurately is also necessary.
