You will join a busy and growing Private Family team in Nottingham, supporting fee earners on a broad range of matters. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to sensitive and often complex private family work, making it ideal for someone looking to build and deepen their experience in this area. You will be closely involved in the day-to-day progression of cases, with a mix of drafting, client contact and legal research, working alongside experienced lawyers in a supportive setting.
You:
- At least 12 months’ experience within a Private Family Law team in a law firm
- Strong drafting skills with good attention to detail
- Confident communicating with clients, particularly in sensitive situations, with a calm and empathetic approach
- Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Commercially aware with a proactive and positive attitude
- Comfortable using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with court portals and documentation would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Supporting solicitors on a range of Private Family matters
- Drafting correspondence and legal documentation for review
- Assisting with case preparation and legal research
- Liaising with clients, courts and third parties
- Maintaining accurate records and using systems effectively
- Working towards individual targets and contributing to wider team performance
- Supporting business development initiatives where appropriate
- Delivering a high standard of client care at all times
