\n I’m working with a Newcastle firm that is expanding its Corporate team and wants to speak to solicitors from around 1 year PQE upwards.\n
\n
\n The attraction here is pretty straightforward.\n
\n
\n You’ll get properly involved.\n
\n
\n Not just sitting somewhere near the transaction while somebody more senior handles all the interesting bits.\n
\n
\n The work covers business and share acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, corporate refinancing, investments, group reorganisations and share buybacks, with direct client contact and the opportunity to build your own relationships as your experience grows.\n
\n
\n They’re particularly interested in lawyers who already have solid transactional experience and are comfortable taking responsibility for their own matters, but this is still very much a role where you can continue developing rather than being expected to arrive as the finished article.\n
\n
\n You’ll work closely with the Head of Corporate, have exposure across a genuinely varied caseload and be encouraged to get involved in business development rather than being hidden away behind the scenes.\n
\n
\n For somebody earlier in their career, that matters.\n
\n
\n You learn much faster when you’re speaking to the client, understanding why the deal is happening and seeing a transaction from start to finish.\n
\n
\n The package is competitive, there is hybrid and flexible working, and the team is based in brand new Newcastle city centre offices.\n
\n
