Banking litigation, secured debt recovery and the chance to build specialist expertise working with major lenders.
I'm working with a QED Legal client in Newcastle looking to add a Solicitor to its specialist Banking Litigation team.
The team acts for established banking and lender clients on a broad range of litigation matters, with a particular focus on secured debt recovery. It's a good opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys the technical side of litigation, wants to deepen their lender-side expertise and is looking to build a career in a specialist area of practice.
You’ll manage a varied caseload from instruction through to resolution, advising clients, progressing claims and finding practical routes to settlement where possible. The work includes secured debt recovery, drafting pleadings and court documents, negotiating settlements and attending hearings, alongside wider dispute resolution matters.
They’re looking for a qualified Solicitor with experience in litigation, debt recovery or dispute resolution. Previous banking litigation experience and knowledge of secured recovery work would be valuable, alongside strong drafting, organisation and client communication skills. You’ll need to be comfortable managing competing deadlines and balancing the demands of a busy caseload with the need to deliver a quality service.
You’ll join an established specialist team with access to complex matters, recognised lender clients and opportunities to develop your technical knowledge as your experience grows.
If you’re a litigation solicitor considering your next move, or you’re interested in developing a specialism in banking litigation and secured debt recovery, it’s worth a conversation. I can talk you through the work and team confidentially before you decide whether it’s the right fit.
