A well-established regional law firm with offices in Wiltshire is looking for a Residential Conveyancer to join their Chippenham office. The firm is in a period of growth, driven by increasing demand and natural expansion, and they’re investing in the systems and processes to keep that momentum going. Despite this growth, they remain focused on providing a highly personal service to each of their clients, which has earned them a solid reputation in the region.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer who’s looking for a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll be managing a mixed caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including Freehold and Leasehold sales and purchases, new builds, remortgages, transfers of equity, and shared ownership. From the initial instruction to completion, you’ll handle tasks like issuing contracts, mortgage redemptions, ordering and reporting on searches, raising enquiries, and managing exchanges of contracts. You’ll also work closely with other conveyancers to help grow the department and develop new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in residential conveyancing and be comfortable managing their own caseload. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are key, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential. Experience using case management systems and online platforms for SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications, and other tools will be important. The firm values a positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude, as well as a commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary, plus a 30% bonus based on billed and paid fees above target (typically 3x base salary). The firm also offers a company pension, employee discounts, 33 days’ annual leave (and the chance to earn up to 10 extra days for long service). There’s plenty of room for career progression, and the firm operates with a Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm schedule.
