Job Description
Intellectual Property Solicitor, NQ-2 PQE, £55k-£61k, Tier 1 IP Practice, Manchester\n
\n
\n Junior IP lawyers often spend their early years on the edges of bigger matters. In this role you will be at the centre of the work from day one, in a Manchester team where trade marks and brand protection are the core of the practice rather than a sideline.\n
\n
\n You will work directly with directory-ranked partners, with real involvement in their matters. The senior lawyers have led IP teams at well-known firms, and most of them have worked together for many years.\n
\n
\n The work centres on managing large international trade mark and design portfolios, running clearance searches, and enforcing rights for clients ranging from SMEs to some of the world’s best-known brands across technology, consumer goods, retail and sport.\n
\n
\n Enforcement goes further than most junior IP lawyers get to see, including anti-counterfeiting work. Much of the portfolio work is multi-jurisdictional, so you will learn how trade mark registration and enforcement work well beyond the UK.\n
\n
\n For a junior lawyer set on a career in IP, opportunities like this rarely come up in Manchester.\n
\n
\n Interested? Apply here or contact Chris Barr at QED Legal.
