Job Description
Associate or Senior Associate, Health Procurement, 1-5+ PQE, £62k+, National Firm, Manchester
This national firm has one of the largest dedicated health practices in the UK, and it has grown every year. Its health commercial team now wants a procurement lawyer at associate or senior associate level, based in Manchester and working across a national team.
You’ll act on both sides of the process. That means advising NHS contracting authorities running procurements and bidders competing for them, under the Procurement Act 2023, the Provider Selection Regime and the legacy Public Contracts Regulations. Challenges are handled alongside the firm’s commercial disputes team.
The contract work goes beyond standard terms. Alongside framework agreements, call-off terms, licensing and data protection documentation, you’ll work on joint ventures, alliance agreements and collaboration arrangements between health bodies.
Clients range from integrated care boards, NHS trusts and primary care providers to national NHS bodies, independent providers and health tech developers. Client responsibility comes early, and so does client contact, including travel.
Health sector experience helps but isn’t essential. The team will consider commercial, technology, data protection or regulatory lawyers from private practice or in-house who want to move into health.
If you want to build a career in health procurement, there are few better places in the North West to do it.
