We’re working with a leading international law firm looking to strengthen its London‑based conflicts team as part of continued investment in its global risk function. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a highly collaborative, multi‑jurisdictional team, working closely with colleagues across the UK, US and APAC. You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s approach to client onboarding, new matters, and broader risk management.

This is a truly technical role, looking for someone with a strong commercial acumen and ability to dive into technical conversations.

The Role:

You’ll be involved in the end‑to‑end conflicts process, supporting lawyers and partners globally on a wide range of matters. The work is varied, fast‑paced, and commercially focused.

  • Managing conflict checks on new matters across multiple jurisdictions
  • Analysing and resolving legal and commercial conflicts of interest
  • Advising partners and lawyers on conflict issues, firm policies, and risk considerations
  • Supporting matter risk assessments, including reputational, sanctions, and financial crime risks
  • Working closely with financial crime and compliance teams on client onboarding
  • Assisting with the implementation and management of information barriers
  • Collaborating with international teams to ensure a consistent and seamless global service
  • Contributing to process improvements and the development of conflicts systems and tools
About you:
  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales
  • Experience in a conflicts, risk, or compliance role within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Understanding of conflicts of interest and confidentiality obligations
  • Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to assess risk in a practical way
  • Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Exposure to US conflicts rules would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
