The Role

  • Manage your own caseload of clinical negligence matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
  • Handle a broad range of medical negligence claims, including complex and high-value cases.
  • Work closely with senior lawyers on technically challenging matters.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, providing clear and compassionate advice throughout the claims process.
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and other legal documentation.
  • Review medical records and expert evidence to develop effective case strategies.
  • Attend court hearings where appropriate and liaise with Counsel on more complex proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate case management records and time recording.
  • Contribute to the continued success and growth of a highly respected specialist team.

You

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience handling clinical negligence matters.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Able to manage your own caseload with confidence and autonomy.
  • Empathetic and personable approach when supporting clients through sensitive circumstances.
  • Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive working culture.
