Job Description

Fantastic opportunity with an outstanding Top 50 global law firm with a major national & international presence who are now looking to expand their Intellectual Property team across the regions. They are ideally seeking an experienced Solicitor with at least 12 Years' PQE to join as a Legal Director or Partner to take a significant role within the national team and lead the non contentious IP practice. 

You will be expected to lead the non contentious IP practice with the remit of growing the practice nationally by working closely with the management and be expected to deal with duties such as; recruitment, develop new strategies for the IP team, collaborate with other commercial teams, provide guidance to clients on IP, trademark, copyright, design rights, brand protection and patents. 
Prior experience of growing a team and having the capability to do so will prove essential as this practice have a consistent stream of work flowing from a highly regarded commercial department, as well as major brands & household names. Work is on a global scale, so experience of dealing with international and cross border matters will also prove beneficial. 
There is a global team with over 50+ however the UK regional team makes up for 10% of that number, so there is a clear goal in place to organically grow that number once a senior figure has been appointed.
The firm have a generous hybrid working split, however there would be some travel to other regional offices needed to liaise with the national team and discuss plans for progressing & growing the team.  
Attractive benefits package will be offered including a pension, bonus scheme and healthcare, plus the chance to oversee an established team within a well known and respected firm. Salary will be based on experience level but will likely be in the realms of £100,000 – £140,000.
