Group Compliance Manager

Gloucester

Hybrid (3 days in office)

Are you an experienced Legal Compliance professional looking to step into a broad, business-critical leadership role? I'm working with a growing legal group looking to appoint a Group Compliance Manager to oversee compliance, risk and regulatory matters across established SRA-regulated law firms. This is an opportunity to become the central compliance expert within the business, working closely with senior leadership to shape governance, mitigate risk and ensure regulatory excellence across the group.

The Role?

Reporting directly into the Managing Directors, you'll lead all aspects of legal and regulatory compliance across the business, covering:

  • SRA compliance and regulatory obligations
  • AML compliance, risk management and MLRO responsibilities
  • GDPR and data protection
  • File reviews and quality assurance
  • Complaints management
  • Companies House and corporate governance
  • Lender panel management
  • Insurance renewals and risk transfer
  • Internal policies, governance and ESG initiatives
  • Delivering compliance training and advising stakeholders across the business

About You?

You'll ideally have experience within an SRA-regulated law firm or another highly regulated environment and possess strong knowledge of:

  • SRA Standards & Regulations
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
  • UK GDPR and Data Protection
  • CQS requirements
  • Legal risk and regulatory compliance
  • File auditing and quality assurance

You'll also bring:

  • Experience in a Legal Compliance, Risk, MLRO or regulatory position
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to advise senior leaders
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Exceptional attention to detail
