I’m working with a well-regarded regional law firm that’s looking to bring in two Paralegals to join their busy Litigation team. These are brand-new roles, created due to increased workload and ongoing growth, not replacements.
What stands out about this opportunity is the level of exposure you’ll get. It’s a genuinely hands-on role where you’ll be involved in a wide range of litigation matters, making it ideal for someone looking to build solid, practical experience early on in their legal career.
The role itself
- Liaising with clients, opposing solicitors, litigants in person, Court staff, and Counsel via phone and email
- Preparing bundles for hearings, trials, and mediations
- Drafting Court documents for both County Court and High Court proceedings
- Assisting fee earners with pleadings, applications, instructions to Counsel, and witness statements
- Undertaking legal research
- General file and diary management, including arranging calls and conferences
It’s a varied role where you won’t just be stuck doing admin, you’ll be actively contributing to cases and developing real legal skills.
Who this would suit
- Someone with prior legal work experience (paralegal, legal assistant, or similar)
- Someone organised, proactive, and able to manage their time well
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with different stakeholders
- A team player who’s also comfortable working independently
- Someone keen to learn and build a career in litigation
Why people like this firm
- Strong reputation and steady growth
- High-quality, hands-on litigation experience
- Supportive team environment
- Clear opportunities to develop and progress
- Competitive salary and benefits package
- A good platform for building a long-term legal career
This is a great option for someone at the early stages of their legal career who wants proper exposure to litigation work, rather than just a purely administrative role, and is looking to grow within a supportive and busy team.
