We’re currently working with a fabulous leading regional law firm with offices across Buckinghamshire and London looking for a Compliance Officer to join a well-established compliance function. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid compliance experience who enjoys being hands-on and working across a broad range of regulatory matters. You’ll be joining a structured Risk & Compliance function and will play a key role in supporting the firm’s ongoing regulatory and risk management obligations.

The role includes:

  • Client onboarding and ongoing due diligence
  • Reviewing AML documentation and supporting SAR reporting to the MLRO
  • Source of Funds / Source of Wealth investigations
  • Admin support for Credas / EIDV systems, including user access and queries
  • Monitoring PEPs and sanctions alerts
  • Managing and responding to complaints, including Legal Ombudsman matters
  • Advising on GDPR and data protection issues
  • Supporting regulatory audits and accreditations, including corrective actions
  • Updating and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Managing the Risk inbox (AML, conflicts, complaints, claims, data breaches, queries)
  • Coaching colleagues through compliance processes
  • Researching regulatory updates from the SRA / Law Society
  • Maintaining sanctions lists and monitoring undertakings
  • Supporting price transparency reviews
  • Assisting with CQS accreditation and compliance training
  • General risk and compliance administration

About you:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of AML and regulatory requirements
  • Confident communicator with a practical, can-do approach
  • Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
