The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Privacy Solicitor to join this Band 1 firm. The successful candidate will collaborate with a dynamic team of experts, offering strategic and practical advice to a broad spectrum of clients on complex and high-profile data protection matters. Working with leading international clients across a range of sectors, after continued growth the firm are looking to expand their function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on GDPR compliance, data breaches, and data subject rights.
  • Drafting and negotiating data-sharing agreements, privacy notices, and related documentation.
  • Conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and supporting clients in implementing robust privacy measures.
  • Guiding clients through cross-border data transfers and ensuring compliance with international data privacy frameworks.
  • Keeping clients informed of legal and regulatory changes in data privacy law.
  • Assisting clients with regulatory investigations and data breach responses.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified solicitor with significant experience in data privacy and protection law.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with an ability to deliver practical and commercially driven advice.
  • Exceptional communication and client management skills, capable of building trust and long-term relationships.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently and provide expert advice under tight deadlines.
  • Availability for an interim assignment and the ability to hit the ground running.
