The Criminal Department is based across the firm’s London offices and is a well-structured, close-knit team comprising Partners, Associates, Paralegals and dedicated administrative support. The department covers police stations and courts across London, and includes a specialist youth crime unit.
The team acts for a diverse client base, many of whom are vulnerable or have experienced trauma, social deprivation, disability or mental health challenges. The department is known for its compassionate, client-focused approach and its commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
The firm is seeking to appoint a newly qualified Criminal Solicitor to join the department as soon as feasible. The role will involve attending police stations and representing clients in the Magistrates’ Court, with responsibility for advising clients and progressing cases efficiently. There will be an element of out of hours work. Experience preparing cases for trial in both the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court is essential. The position is based in London and is subject to a six month probation period. The firm places a strong emphasis on training and development, delivering regular internal training for staff at all levels.
