A well-established and highly regarded Yorkshire law firm is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal to join its busy and supportive Harrogate office.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal assistant who enjoys being an integral part of the conveyancing process and providing high-quality support to fee earners, clients, and colleagues alike.
The role
You’ll be responsible for providing full administrative and transactional support to fee earners within the Conveyancing department, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and in line with regulatory and quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing client matters accurately and efficiently using a case management system
- Preparing, organising, and archiving legal files and supporting documentation
- Diary management, including booking client appointments and meetings
- Drafting client correspondence via digital dictation, audio typing, or word processing
- Handling client and third-party telephone calls and enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Taking ownership of incoming emails, post, and general administrative tasks
- Ordering property searches and carrying out client ID and compliance checks
- Assisting with exchanges and completions under fee earner supervision
- Managing Land Registry applications and post-completion matters
- Preparing client bills and assisting with account ledgers
- Supporting other assistants and the wider team as required
About you
- Previous experience in a conveyancing assistant / legal assistant role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
